Mặc dù ra đời từ rất lâu (tháng 11 năm 2000) nhưng đến năm 2017 vẫn còn rất nhiều game thủ yêu chuộng.
Do đó, Valve đã tung ra bản cập nhật mới cho Counter-Strike 1.6 để đáp lại tình cảm của họ.
